Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the leading provider of real estate services in the Bay Area, announced today that venerable San Francisco Realtor® Nina Hatvany ranked as the company’s second most successful agent in Northern California and No. 3 agent in the U.S. for sales last year.

One of the best-known luxury Realtors in the country, Hatvany outpaced more than 3,600 sales associates from Monterey to Lake Tahoe last year. In addition, she finished ahead of more than 100,000 Coldwell Banker agents across the country.

Hatvany, who works in the TRI Coldwell Banker office on Van Ness Avenue, was involved in more than $107 million worth of luxury home sales in 2010.

“Nina represents the very pinnacle of the luxury real estate industry,” said Rick Turley, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.  “She exhibits the highest standards of excellence, incomparable customer service and support, and an incredible knowledge of the San Francisco luxury home market. We’re thrilled to have her represent Coldwell Banker.”

Dawn Ross, manager of the TRI Coldwell Banker office, said Hatvany is one of the very best in the world when it comes to marketing high-end residential real estate.

“I’m so proud of Nina and her tremendous accomplishment, not just this past year but every year,” Ross said.  “She’s the consummate professional, someone who sets the bar for excellence in our industry. It’s an honor to have agents of this caliber as members of our team.”

Hatvany was recognized for her sales accomplishments during a company ceremony last month in Las Vegas as well as an event at the St. Regis in San Francisco.

Since joining Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage nearly 20 years ago, Hatvany has been one of the two top agents in her office as well as one of the top 10 agents in Northern California. She has been honored nationally for her sales accomplishments, including being named the number nine agent in the U.S. in the Wall Street Journal’s top 200 ranking.

Hatvany represents both buyers and sellers of luxury homes, condominiums and apartment buildings. Her interest in property sales stems from the many years she spent in real estate development. She he built townhouses in Palo Alto, refurbished several Bay Area apartment buildings and restored and rehabilitated several homes in San Francisco. She has both a real estate sales license as well as a contractor’s license.

Originally from the U.K., Hatvany has a B.S. degree from Bristol University in England. She received a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford University. She was a professor in organizational behavior at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. Additionally, she has taught at the Graduate School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Hatvany is married with three children and lives in Pacific Heights.
