Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the leading provider of real estate services on the San Francisco Peninsula, announced today that veteran Bay Area Realtor and Certified Commercial Agent Scott Syme has joined the company’s office in Burlingame.  In his new position, Syme will specialize in residential and commercial sales, as well as the design and building of new, high-end homes in the Hillsborough, Atherton, Portola Valley, Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Los Altos markets.

Syme is a 25 year veteran of local real estate and was the president of Syme Properties, Inc for 18 years prior to joining Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.  His vast experience includes residential and commercial sales, along with multi-family, commercial and hospitality development.  He was responsible for the building of dozens of high end properties from San Francisco’s Pacific Heights Gold Coast, down the Peninsula to Los Gatos.

Syme is a two-time winner of the Golden Nugget, a national award recognizing those who improve communities through exceptional concepts in design, planning and development.  The Gold Nugget Awards are the oldest of its kind and honor creative achievements in architectural design and land use planning for residential, commercial and industrial projects.  He is also a licensed broker and is a member of the National Association of Realtors and California Association of Realtors.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Syme studied business with an enfaces in real estate and architectural design at the University of Nevada at Reno before returning to the Bay Area to start his business.  He is a third generation San Francisco native and comes from a family of contractors, Realtors and developers

Outside of real estate, Syme is active in the community through his church and is a member of the board for the San Francisco Theological Seminary.  In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, golf and travelling with his wife and their four boys.
