“Serene Hideout” is an artfully created log masterpiece now available across from Lake Serena on Donner Summit.  No detail was overlooked in the creation of this log and stone mountain masterpiece.  Predominantly built from salvaged standing dead timber from Washington State and locally quarried granite from Donner Summit, this home has been dubbed, “The Bear House” by locals for the numerous carvings inside and out.
Inside, three bedrooms are accompanied by a huge sleeping loft, a seven seat theater room, pub/game room, and a ski-tuning shop complete with a vented hood. An exquisite great room with booming log ceilings and massive picture windows takes full advantage of the views of the water and Castle Peak.  The soapstone fireplace was imported from Finland and efficiently heats a big space and the massive antler chandelier came from Colorado after a well known Hollywood couple split-up.
Throughout the home there are loads of custom fixtures and creature comforts, like the dumbwaiter from the garage to the fireplace, or the hidden passage from the master bath to the laundry.  Almost no drywall was used in the construction of this home.
Located across from Lake Serena in Serene Lakes, it’s just 10 minutes from Sugar Bowl and even closer to x/c skiing at Royal Gorge.  In the summer there is a beach and swim club, with fishing and kayaking, and National Forest to the rear for un-ending hiking and exploring.  Please vist http://serenehideout.com/ for more information.
