Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has a strong history of giving back to the community. We organize food drives during the holidays, sponsor golf tournaments, volunteer at local homeless shelters and raise substantial funds throughout the year through our company’s charitable arm, the Coldwell Banker Community Foundation. While we do a lot as a company, we also encourage and support our Coldwell sales associates who volunteer their personal time to the charitable causes that mean the most to them.
One such associate broker is Chad Cole of the Sunset Strip office in Los Angeles. Chad is the chair of the Young Professional Committee of Alzheimer’s Association’s Los Angeles Chapter and is one of the chief organizers of the city’s 2nd annual “Blondes Vs. Brunettes” fundraiser—“a game of (all-female) flag football paired with the goal to Tackle Alzheimer’s Disease.” The event will take place on June 1 at Fairfax High School and tickets are $5.00 ($6.17 with service charge).
“I’ve seen Alzheimer’s first-hand and I understand how devastating its effects are on families,” said Cole. “The emotional toll is incredibly heavy, but the financial burden is also a very real problem. With over 5 million American people living with the disease and minimal funding from the Federal Government, the problem is only going to get worse. That’s why this fundraiser is so important. Heightening awareness, supporting research, and raising funds will ultimately make a difference to those dealing with Alzheimer’s—and I’m very proud to be a part of that.”
Chad’s personal connection to Alzheimer’s is his grandmother; he and his family coped with the disease and its heartbreaking impact for years. That experience influenced Chad at an early age and led to his involvement with the Alzheimer’s Association. In his grandmother’s honor, Chad (along with other dedicated Young Professional Committee members) hosts this fun, high-energy fundraiser to support scientific research, raise awareness, and provide Alzheimer-related programs and help to more than 150,000 families in L.A., San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Last year, Blondes Vs. Brunettes raised $16,000. This year, they have already raised over $27,000 and are still going strong. If you’d like to donate, sponsor, attend, or participate in Blondes Vs. Brunettes, please see the details below. All donations are tax deductible.
