No surprise—90210 has once again topped the list ranking U.S. ZIP codes for the highest number of closed sales over $10 million, according to the latest Luxury Market Report by Coldwell Banker Previews International®. There were 26 sales in the eight digits for 2013 in Beverly Hills, including the stunning Le Palais estate realized by renowned developer Mohamed Hadid and listed by Stacy Gottula and Joyce Rey for $37,500,000.
Los Angeles’ 90077 (tony Bel Air) followed with 13 sales over $10 million last year. Nine other California ZIP codes were ranked among the top 20 in the ultra luxury sector, including: 90265 (Malibu), 90049 (L.A.’s Brentwood), 94027 (Atherton), 92651 (Atherton), 92651 (Laguna Beach), 93108 (Montecito), 93108 (Santa Barbara), 92037 (La Jolla) and 92657 (Newport Coast).
If $10 million is out of your price range, you might take comfort in the fact Manhattan Beach’s 90266 ranked highest for number of closed sales over $1 million. Seven other Southern California ZIP codes rounded out the top 8 nationally, including 92037 (La Jolla), 91011 (La Canada Flintridge), 90049 (L.A.’s Brentwood), 92660 (Newport Beach), 90272 (Pacific Palisades), 90210 (Beverly Hills) and 92651 (Laguna Beach).
