Baseball. The crack of the bat. The thrill of a home run. The building tension of a no-hitter. For avid baseball fans, there are few things more exciting than Opening Day. In fact, many contend it should be a national holiday. For the more casual fan, baseball can simply mean a fun time at the yard with some sunshine, peanuts and cracker jacks.
For me, and my family, we fall into the former group. We are a third-generation, die-hard baseball family. My grandfather started the baseball madness. His love for the game has since been passed down from generation to generation. In fact, my nephew was just born yesterday and what was upon his head on his first day in this world? A San Francisco Giants hat.
So you can imagine my excitement when I went to sfgiants.com today, as I do every day, and saw Coldwell Banker splashed all over the home page. This takeover is part of an ongoing partnership with MLB that will bring viewers into the homes of several Major League Baseball players and retired pros throughout the season. The series will examine what makes their home a place they crave to come back to.
Not a Giants fan like me? No problem. Coldwell Banker has taken over every single Major League Baseball team’s homepage today. So no matter where your allegiances lie, you can take part in the fun.
Several California teams will be represented in the 13-part video series (we do boast five major league teams, after all). Every Wednesday for 12 straight weeks, Coldwell Banker will unveil a new video on coldwellbanker.com/homefield. While each video’s premise is the same, each player has their own story to tell.
Here’s a list of the California players and when their homes will be showcased:
