What do Bravo’s “Million Dollar Decorators” Martyn Lawrence Bullard, ELLE DÉCOR editor-in-chief Michael Boodro and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood have in common? They all descended upon L.A.’s La Cienega Design Quarter last week for what is called “Legends,” a tribute to all things architecture, home, fashion and art. Marking its sixth year, the three-day event launched with an invitation-only gala at antique showroom Therian, co-sponsored by 1stdibs and Coldwell Banker Previews International®.  Ginette Wright, vice president of marketing for Previews®/NRT, along with Beverly Hills-based Previews all-stars Joyce Rey, Stacy Gottula, Christophe Choo, Linda May, Michelle Oliver and Connie Blankenship, all mixed and mingled with the A-list crowd. Luxury real estate meets interior design and home style—it doesn’t get any more “lifestyle” than that.

The event’s 2014 theme was “Novel Interiors: Storytelling by Design,” and by the looks of the event, it was equal parts geek and chic. The sold-out panel discussions included “Glamour: A Timeless Narrative” moderated by Architectural Digest’s West Coast editor Mayer Rus and “Don’t Hate, Collaborate,” a discussion with Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Kathryn Ireland, Nathan Turner and Jeffrey Alan Marks. The people-watching and trend-spotting continued with meet-and-greets, book signings, sneak peeks and inspiration aplenty in the showroom displays. Personally? We liked Diane Von Furstenberg’s “Out of Africa” vignette best.
