The 2015 Previews Retreat, Coldwell Banker Previews International’s annual retreat and conference, was held February 9-11 at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, one of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in California’s Wine Country. Blessed by natural mineral hot springs in Sonoma Valley, a world-class wine growing region and a bounty of local food purveyors, the Sonoma Wine Country provided a beautiful backdrop for the lavish event which brought together 350 of the nation’s top luxury real estate professionals.
The two-day event kicked off under a dramatic white tent with a Year-In-Review from Mike James, President of Coldwell Banker San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaii, Bruce Zipf, President and CEO of NRT and Ginette Wright, Vice President of Luxury Marketing at NRT.
“We’re excited to bring together the very best luxury real estate professionals in the U.S. to network, to learn best practices from each other, and to hear from the top luxury specialists in a host of industries,” said Mike James. “Events like this only serve to make our luxury specialists even better at meeting and exceeding the needs of the most discerning homebuyers and sellers.”
Following was an agenda focused on networking and education with keynote presentations by Tommy Spaulding, best-selling author and president of the leadership organization Up With People; Milton Pedraza, CEO of the Luxury Institute; leading luxury brand consultant Jean Arnolds Sessions; and Alf Nucifora, chairman and founder of The Luxury Marketing Council chapter in Northern California. Other speakers included Ginette Wright from NRT and Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber, better known as The Jills, the number one residential specialists in the U.S. according to the Wall Street Journal and a panel of leading luxury agents from across the country.
The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is renowned for hosting Northern California’s most prestigious events in distinct Wine Country style. Taking advantage of the venue’s gorgeous grounds, the retreat was held throughout the property with events on the Breezeway Lawn and the Pool Deck. True to the locale and theme, the retreat also featured a wine tasting with pours from a fine collection of local wineries including Kunde, Chateau St. Jean, Artesa and B.R. Cohn. Other highlights included a cocktail reception with live music, “Morning at the Improv,” and the opportunity to step into the driver’s seat of the newest Tesla models during the Tesla Experience. The event concluded with a cocktail reception and dinner at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, a beautiful Italian-style winery with a warm and inviting villa, olive oil tasting room and wine room.
