Temperatures are heating up across the state right now, which has many of us longing for one thing: beach time!

Earlier this month we spotlighted some of our favorite luxury beach homes currently for sale in California. Now Coldwell Banker Previews International® is joining the beach party with its most recent edition of Previews Inside Out.

According to the National Association of REALTORS®’ 2015 Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey, 40% of vacation buyers bought a home in a beach area in 2014, Previews® reports.

While beach houses are clearly one hot commodity, not all of them come with hot price tags and there are plenty of good beach bargains to be found.

To prove this point, Previews® sought out eight extraordinary beach buys currently marketed by the Coldwell Banker Previews International® luxury marketing program and two California homes made the list – a modern masterpiece in Oxnard and a relaxed seaside escape in Laguna Beach.

3501 Ocean Drive, Oxnard | Offered at $2,995,000.

A stunning work of architectural brilliance, 3501 Ocean Drive sits on a corner oceanfront lot offering expansive views of the ocean, dunes, harbor and nearby mountain ranges. Bursting with creativity and unconventional lines, this home showcases a subtle use of angles, a trademark of its innovator, high-end Santa Barbara architectural firm Design Arc.

31889 Circle Drive, Laguna Beach | Offered at $4,995,000

Coastal luxury meets Laguna Beach charm in this premier oceanfront residence at 31889 Circle Drive featuring a layout for a relaxed seaside escape. Decks and terraces on every level offer captivating views of the Pacific coastline, Catalina Island and Thousand Steps Beach located directly below. Filled with ample natural lighting and salty ocean breezes, each of the meticulous living spaces create a light and tranquil environment.

Other beach buys featured include a luxury vacation villa in the British Virgin Islands for $4,800,000, an eco-lux Mexican abode for $3,900,000, Nantucket-style new construction in New Jersey for $2,250,000 and the ultimate beach bargain – a Balinese-style “sea to sea” beach house in the Bahamas for $750,000.
