Awards season is officially upon us and with that comes the opportunity to make your guests swoon, and we’re not just talking about over the red carpet fashions. The Golden Globes are always pretty entertaining to watch and with funny man Ricky Gervais center stage, this year’s show won’t disappoint. That being said neither should your viewing party. Throw the ultimate soiree with these themed décor ideas, tasty recipes, sparkling cocktails, and a fun game to boot. With our help, your bash will be worthy of an award nomination.

Star-Studded Décor

Make your guests feel like Hollywood royalty with a red carpet entrance. The theme of the evening is glamour, so deck out your space with gold and glitter galore.

Have a little fun by setting up a photo area for the paparazzi to take photos. We especially like this gold fringe one from 100 Layer Cake-let. What young starlet doesn’t enjoy a fabulous photo op?

Fancy Foods

Popcorn is the ultimate movie snack so why not upgrade this classic favorite with an elegant popcorn bar like Celebrations at Home. Provide several flavors, both sweet and salty, plus include some add-ins to sprinkle in. Add a few decorative details and you’ll be the toast of Tinsel Town.

It wouldn’t be a viewing party without some bubbly. Satisfy even the toughest judges—and your sweet tooth—with this simply marvelous champagne cupcake recipe via Life, Love, and Sugar. Champs and cupcakes … do we really need to say more?

Sparkling Cocktail

Champagne is already festive, but there is always room to up the glam factor. Dress up your cocktails with some edible gold sparkles or sanding sugar. Try this recipe from Sugar & Charm.

Puree 1/4 cup strawberries with 1 teaspoon sugar. Wet the rim of the champagne glasses and dip into gold sugar or sprinkles. Add a tablespoon of strawberry puree into the bottom of each glass. Top with champagne.

Cast Your Vote

And the award goes to … Will J-Law take home her third Golden Globe or will her bestie Amy Schumer steal the show? Let your guests decide. Print out copies of PopSugar’s Golden Globe ballot and before the show begins, have your guests check off their picks for the winners. While right answers earn you a Sugarfina Champagne Bear made with a hint of Dom Pérignon Vintage Champagne, wrong answers mean a sip of champagne. Clearly there are no losers in our version of the game.

Tune into the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards January 10th at 5pm PST on NBC.
