California has it all… great weather, gorgeous beaches, awesome people, but is it possible that we also have the best restaurants? Well according to OpenTable, the answer is yes.
OpenTable has once again published its list for “100 Hottest Restaurants in America for 2016” and we can proudly announce that California came in strong with 25 restaurants out of the 100 picked in the entire country being from the sunny state.
OpenTable, an online restaurant-reservation service, chose restaurants based on reviews from more than five million OpenTable users across the country. Users rate restaurants based on food, service and ambiance.
The reviews used for the list were submitted between March 1, 2015 and February 29, 2016. More than 20,000 restaurants in the country were in the running and of those, only 100 were given the honor of being the hottest in 2016.
Unlike other restaurant lists, OpenTable does not rank their picks and does not offer awards. Because the list is based on user reviews, restaurants chosen are typically less prestigious than those listed in other restaurant rankings.
These 100 restaurants are the “hottest” (according to OpenTable reviews), in the country and we can’t help but boast that most of them are California-made.
