Coldwell Banker Independent Sales Associates and business leaders from around the Sacramento and Lake Tahoe regions came together for a day of networking and fun on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in celebration of Coldwell Banker’s 2016 kickoff event.

The one-day event at the Hilton Arden West, entitled “Love What You Do,” began with an address by one of Coldwell Banker’s very own, Sacramento-Tahoe President Kris Vogt, who underscored the importance of finding balance in one’s life – both professionally and personally—and set the tone for this intimate occasion.

Coldwell Banker also honored and gave individual shout outs to the company’s Top 1% affiliated Sales Associates for Northern California and personally handed out Tiffany & Co. awards to the Sales Associates and Teams that earned special designations based on 2015 results.

In addition to celebrating the company’s affiliated Sales Associates, Coldwell Banker also recognized the strong ties between the world of real estate and the community. With a commitment to give back to their local communities, the Coldwell Banker Sacramento-Tahoe managers took the company motto “Give Where You Live” to a whole new level by donating $5,000 to the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Sacramento-Tahoe Community Foundation, a local chapter of the Realogy Charitable Foundation.

And their efforts were recognized by attendees: “I love that our management team gives back to the community,” said Jeff Anderson, Coldwell Banker Independent Sales Associate and 2016 LLS Man of the Year nominee.

But it didn’t stop there…the keynote speakers were also a huge source of inspiration for the day.

First up was Chadney Barcus, a National Director of Marketing for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, who kicked off the event CB-style by bringing the Coldwell Banker brand story to life. Barcus spoke to the importance of real estate professionals being essential storytellers and the key to unlocking each home’s story. She continued her message by expressing the brand’s core values, including trust, innovation, collaboration, consumer focus and business acumen, and connected those values with the every day real estate professional. “We are Gen Blue,” said Barcus. “A network of inspired Sales Associates. We are the foundation, but also the future.”

Next up to take the center stage was Debra Trappen—speaker, trainer, activator and author of Fire Up! Taking Your Life and Business to an 11. While Trappen kept her “Core Four” process and tips and truths for how to live a fired up life simple, her message and her passionate delivery were certainly inspiring and perfectly fitting for the event. Key highlights of her message included defining your core four, clarifying your goals, attracting potential clients by being you, growing by serving others and firing up with consistency.

Last but certainly not least, the event came to a close with a surprise guest appearance by Sacramento Republic FC forward Thomas (Thommy) Stewart, a professional soccer player from Northern Ireland and local sports hero.

Stewart had the first hat trick in Sacramento Republic FC history when he scored three goals in just 29 minutes against Orange County Blues FC. And when Sacramento Republic FC won the 2014 USL Championship, it was Stewart who scored the final goal.

Stewart posed for photos and signed autographs for several lucky Coldwell Banker fans.
