Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Los Altos has often been one of the top Coldwell Banker offices nationally for real estate sales. But recently, the local office had another distinction: the number one company office in the U.S. in a fundraising challenge with proceeds going to fight cancer.

The numbers are now in, and Coldwell Banker’s Los Altos office raised $7,625 for the American Cancer Society in last month’s Relay for Life fundraising event. That not only made them the top fundraiser of all companies at the Los Altos event, but the top Coldwell Banker office in the nation. The Los Altos office was just one of a number of company offices in the U.S. taking part in the charitable challenge.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life event gives communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease by raising money for a cure. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer.

“We are so proud to support such an important cause as the battle against cancer,” said Greg Boudreau, manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Los Altos. “Our affiliated agents and staff believe deeply in this organization as well as the importance of giving back to the community. This is one more way we’ve been able to do that, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team for their hard work.”

Boudreau gave special thanks to the office’s team captains, Linda Kingsbury and Merrian Nevin, as well as agent Zahra Miller, who finished as the top individual fundraiser for the local Los Altos event and the number two individual fundraiser for all of Coldwell Banker nationally.
