Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, announced that it has named top local REALTOR® Chris Rasmussen manager of the company’s Menlo Park, Woodside and Portola Valley offices.

A 27-year residential real estate veteran, Rasmussen has worked as an agent, investor and real estate coach. Most recently, he was an agent in Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Los Gatos office. In his new management role, Rasmussen will oversee more than 110 independent affiliated agents in the three Peninsula offices assisting buyers and sellers throughout the region.

Rasmussen began his real estate career in 1989 as an affiliated agent with Contempo Realty in San Jose. Over the years, he has worked with Keller Williams, where he managed the company’s Boulder, Colorado office, and later with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage where he was a successful agent.

In addition, Rasmussen has a rich technology background as the founder of a social media platform company specializing in real estate called CircleSuite. In that capacity, Rasmussen has worked with more than 1,000 real estate agents in helping them leverage new technology to grow their business through social media automation and integration.

“One big reason why we brought Chris onto the management team is because he has such a unique background that marries the traditional agent sales and coaching skills along with the new, cutting-edge technology skills that agents will need to be successful going forward,” said Mike James, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

“It is indeed rare to find someone that can bridge the gap between the two worlds of real estate sales and cutting-edge technology,” he continued. “Technology is becoming such a critical part of our industry. I’m excited to see how Chris will be able to help agents leverage all the technology tools available to significantly increase their digital presence and to expand their client base and overall business now and well into the future.”

In addition to his tech and real estate background, Rasmussen is the founder of a successful real estate mentoring and coaching program. He has coached more than 150 Coldwell Banker agents, from top-producing sales associates to brand new agents. The program helps agents create systemic approaches to building their business using tech tools, scripts, dialogues and specific business practices.

Rasmussen said that he is excited about the opportunity to lead some of the top real estate offices on the Peninsula, as well as sharing his technology tools to help every agent grow their business.

“I’m fortunate to be starting from a position of strength,” he said. “We already have a solid foundation with a talented team of real estate professionals and a strong position in the Peninsula housing market. My number one goal is to work one on one with our agents to really leverage all the technological tools available to them to significantly increase their sales and take their business – and their careers – to new heights.”
