It is a Grammys party after all…music is kind of a necessity. Before the show starts, create a playlist with all of your favorite nominated songs. If you don’t have time, try this Spotify playlist from Billboard. artists.

Now it’s time to think about your decor. If you’ve invited friends over last minute, you don’t have to go overboard on the party decor — but do think about jazzing up your living room and dining area with some festive touches to put your guests in the mood. Take inspiration from the gilded gramophones being handed out at Staples Center by adding touches of gold, like these Kate Spade confetti napkins from Bed, Bath & Beyond, chic striped paper plates or a banner — like this one from Paper Source. If you’re feeling more creative, you can even pick up some toy guitars at the Dollar Store and spray paint them gold to coincide with the musical theme. Skip trying to make a full dinner, and instead opt for snacks and simple hors d’oeuvres. You might try out a few popcorn recipes, or have a healthy candy supply on hand. If you have the time to spend in the kitchen, you can make these easy crostinis, bacon wrapped dates, a classic spinach and artichoke dip or these yummy grilled cheese sandwiches with sun-dried tomato pesto. For dessert, try to make cutout cookies in the shape of musical notes or microphones for dessert.

4. Pick your punch.

It wouldn’t be a proper party without a proper cocktail, right? Why not serve a citrusy concoction in honor of Beyonce’s “Lemonade” or a Rye whiskey drink inspired by Drake’s “Views“? Billboard offers five great ideas from mixologist Evan Charest of Patina Catering, the official caterer of the Grammys 2017 Afterparty.

5. Rock the vote.

It’s always fun to hand out ballots (printable ballots can be found here or here) and have your guests predict the winners in the televised categories. Whoever guesses the most awards correctly will win an audiophile-worthy prize — like a Tidal or Spotify subscription — at the end of the night.

The Grammy Awards will air live at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on Sunday.
